"... the resurrected body is a continuation and glorification of our current body, and not a totally distinct entity ..."

The expression "feet of Yeshua" has a five-fold meaning in Scriptures: parts of it present, past and future.

1. Devotional Intimacy

Perhaps the most well-known meaning today comes from the special, intimate, devotional expression we find in Miriam (Mary), one of Yeshua's closest disciples.

Luke 10:39 - Miriam sat at Yeshua's feet and heard His word.

John 12:3 - Miriam took very costly oil, anointed Yeshua's feet and wiped His feet with her hair.

By positioning herself at Yeshua's feet, Miriam serves as an exquisite model for us not only of devotion and intimacy but also of humility and vulnerability.

2. Physical Resurrection

When Yeshua was crucified, His hands and feet were pierced. After He rose from the dead, He showed His disciples the scars remaining on His body (John 20:27).

Luke 24:39 - Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.

Yeshua proved that He really was resurrected, and that the resurrection was physical and not merely spiritual. It also shows that the resurrected body is a continuation and glorification of our current body, and not a totally distinct entity altogether (I Corinthians 15:35-50).

3. Eternal Divinity

There are appearances of Yeshua in His pre-birth, pre-incarnation form throughout the Law and the Prophets. Some two dozen of these mysterious appearances of YHVH in the form of a man are documented in my book, Who Ate Lunch with Abraham?

Exodus 24:10 - They saw the God of Israel and under His feet as the work of sapphire stone.

In this case 74 people saw this divine-human figure on Mount Sinai. The fact that the God of Israel appeared repeatedly in this "down to earth" form prepares the way for understanding Yeshua as the eternal and divine Messiah, the manifestation of God in human form.

4. Literal Return

As Yeshua was physically raised from the dead, so will He return to earth at the Second Coming in bodily form.

Zechariah 14:3-4 - On that day, His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem from the east.

All the nations will attack Jerusalem. Yeshua will descend from heaven with a mighty army to destroy those nations. As He ascended from the Mount of Olives, so will He return. He will not come half-way down, and hover in the air; but He will come all the way back to touch the ground - once and for all.

5. Millennial Glory

After Yeshua returns, He will set up His kingdom of peace over the whole earth. Ezekiel had a vision of a divine Man speaking to him from the Millennial Temple.

Ezekiel 43:6-7 - A man was standing next to me. He said to me, "Son of man, this is the place of My throne and the place of the soles of My feet that I will dwell there among the children of Israel forever."

Yeshua will reign for 1,000 years in a glorified form with His spiritual and governmental capital in Jerusalem. The Kingdom of God comes down to earth from heaven, and Yeshua's glorified feet symbolize this reality.

Celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles
with Ahavat Yeshua Congregation
This autumn has been an intense time of great activity and fruit bearing for our Revive Israel related ministries here in the land.

Ahavat Yeshua, our home congregation in Jerusalem, continues to grow and prosper under the pastorate of Eddie and Jackie Santoro. We have completed a full year in our new building in Talpiyot. There is a greater sense of being a spiritual family, aided by the fact that 17 babies were born among the congregational members this year.

Tiferet Yeshua, our sister congregation in Tel Aviv, has had a renewed vision and eldership under the leadership of Ron Cantor. The founders, Ari and Shira Sorkoram, have been released to the position of honored spiritual "grandparents", while the congregation moves forward into its new stage. Five new Israeli believers were immersed last month; a new discipleship course was started, and the prayer meetings have been growing in attendance.

[Please pray for strength for Asher and Betty in their position as overseers of the two congregations, along with major teaching and leadership responsibilities in both (Tiferet on Friday night and Ahavat on Saturday). Pray as well for protection as there has been increased harassment from "anti-Messianic" religious groups.]

We celebrated the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh HaShana) with a multi-congregational prayer and praise meeting in Tel Aviv.

There was a wonderful breakthrough as well for the multi-congregational prayer and fasting retreat for Yom Kippur held at Yad Hashmonah Kibbutz. Chaim led the traditional aspects of the worship, combined with the power of the Holy Spirit. We also continued our new tradition of reading the entire book of Hebrews aloud in Hebrew in the afternoon session. The conference was filled to capacity.

For the Feast of Tabernacles we were involved in several international conferences in fulfillment of Zechariah 14:16. Asher spoke at the ICEJ conference about the Messianic Remnant in Israel. We co-hosted with Maoz the second annual Chinese-Israel Kingdom Destiny conference, with local Israeli Messianic leaders and Christians from Mainland China. Ariel Blumenthal played a key role as the bridge with the Chinese Christians. We also hosted a group of Thai Christians, with whom we have a long-standing relationship.

The celebrations for Simchat Torah were joyous and explosive in both Ahavat and Tiferet congregations.

In a historic "breakthrough", ground has been broken at the new housing project at Yad Hashmonah and Revive Israel has formed a partnership with Yad Hashmonah to build the public facilities for the new growth in the kibbutz. The kibbutz also serves as the home for our ministry center and prayer house.

We continue to send out young Israelis on "short term international mission" trips, which are too numerous even to mention. There were new opportunities for ministry this year in Poland, in India and in Estonia.

Aviram has become the new local director of Israel Chai TV, an exciting 24-7 all Hebrew evangelistic internet television channel. We continue in our partnership with the Netanel House outreach center.

Our teaching, prayer & current events update is sent out by internet into 17 different language groups on a weekly basis, helping fulfill the vision of Isaiah 2 for the word of the Lord to go out from Jerusalem.

God has been gracious to allow us to continue giving away one third of our ministry income. We have used this strategic giving to bless many parts of the Messianic Remnant here in Israel, including the needy, other ministries, exemplary citizens, etc. Shani oversees our giving department.

Our daily Prayer-Praise-Prophecy watches at our prayer house, along with equipping-style biblical teachings in Hebrew, have been a blessing to many around Israel and guests who come to be refreshed, anointed and built up.

Youval Yanai has taken the position as our general director at Revive and Tal Ruben as our staff director. The "three-fold cord" with Revive-Ahavat-Tiferet has become the base of our emerging apostolic team ministry and network. This in turn has caused an amazing almost indescribable chain reaction of events of major international ministries wanting to be aligned, submitted, partnered or networked with us. We believe this is part of a tectonic shift in the Body of Messiah at large, an apostolic/prophetic realignment, to be positioned correctly in faith and covenant as we prepare to stand together in these end times leading up to the Second Coming of Yeshua.
