""Abba, an amazing thing happened this week. I had a dream in which Yeshua appeared to me and talked to me.""

Asher and I serve at two sister congregations, one in Jerusalem (Ahavat Yeshua, along with Eddie and Jackie Santoro) and one in Tel Aviv (Tiferet Yeshua, along with Ron and Elana Cantor). At Tiferet Yeshua there has been a lot of "action" this month.

There were Orthodox religious "anti-Messianics" at the door almost every week trying to persuade people away from their faith and from the congregation. Please pray for protection for the young believers.

In two of the meetings during the recent war, air raid sirens went off during the final prayers and songs and even as someone prayed to receive the Lord! Thank God for His protection!

A native Israeli businessman in his 60's recently received the Lord. He was reluctant to tell his daughter, a well-educated physicist. However, she called him without knowing about his faith, and said "Abba, an amazing thing happened this week. I had a dream in which Yeshua appeared to me and talked to me." Halleluyah!

One of the young singles shared that her cousin (also a believer) was at the community pool recently. He left to go to the rest-room, and when he returned he couldn't find their toddler. Scanning the pool desperately, he saw the child's face down under the water, dove in and pulled him out ... lifeless. He cried out loud, "Yeshua, have mercy on me!" and began to massage the child. After a few moments the toddler began to vomit water, and then started breathing! An emergency team rushed him to the hospital. The doctors were shocked that he was fine, and couldn't understand how it happened. Halleluyah!

A young woman, declared fatally ill with anorexia, after visiting several times, came and asked for healing. We anointed her with oil and commanded the demons to leave, while she proclaimed for the first time that she wanted to live. Please agree with us in prayer for her full restoration.

The mother of Shai Kushner, the Messianic soldier who was recently killed in the Gaza war, came to worship with us. (Her daughter is a member of the congregation.) There was a tremendous outpouring of love and compassion for her during the prayer time.

There has been a steady flow of "not-yet-believers" visiting the congregation, as well as a new wave of young adults from Messianic families who had been distanced from the faith, starting to return.

Please stand with us as partners in faith, prayer and finances for both the Jerusalem and Tel Aviv congregations. We invite you to come and visit us whenever you are in Israel.

"It was the one time during the year when the high priest could enter the holy of holies, passing through the woven veil to come before the seat of God's presence on earth."

Yom Kippur is the most holy day of the Jewish calendar.1 It was the one time during the year when the high priest could enter the holy of holies, passing through the woven veil to come before the seat of God's presence on earth. He came to offer the blood of atonement, symbolizing the sacrifice of Messiah Yeshua. Yom Kippur has rich layers of prophetic meaning integrating holiness, repentance, atonement, spiritual warfare, the judgment day, resurrection and the second coming of Messiah.

Every year our vision for celebrating Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement) as a united community grows stronger. This year five local Israeli congregations are participating: Ahavat Yeshua, Tiferet Yeshua, Melech Hamlachim, Maaleh Adumim & Yad Hashmona. We join together for a day and a half of prayer and fasting at the Yad Hashmona Messianic kibbutz-moshav.

Our time will open with a reading from the book of Jonah and its themes of calling for prayer, repentance and mission to the nations. Oded Shoshani is giving the message with the Ahavat Yeshua team leading worship. Later in the evening teens and young adults will have an open time of continued prayer, worship and fellowship.

In the morning we will include traditional prayers, and then the Melech Hamlachim team will lead worship during the main assembly. The theme for this day is the blood of Yeshua, atonement and the cross. Youval Yanay will give the message, and then the pastors will lead in intercessory prayer.

In the afternoon, we have a public reading of the entire book of Hebrews (in Hebrew). In the past two years, a precious anointing and spontaneous burst of joy accompanied the reading.

Our closing assembly is dedicated to the end-times prophecies and the "great and terrible day of YHVH" (Joel 1:15, 2:1, 2:11, 2:31, 3:14). The blowing of the shofar at the end of the Day of Atonement is a prophetic proclamation of the Second Coming of Yeshua, the rapture and the resurrection of the dead (Leviticus 25:9, Isaiah 27:13, Matthew 24:31, I Corinthians 15:52, I Thessalonians 4:16). Asher will give the end-times message leading up to the blowing of the shofar - reflecting our exciting and fearful sense of the approaching end-times, the culmination of the spiritual warfare, the battle of Armageddon, the worldwide outpouring of the Spirit and the establishment of the Messianic kingdom on earth.

We conclude with the unity of the congregations and participate in the Lord's Supper, led by Eddie Santoro and Avraham Ben Hod. There is a large shared meal before the beginning of the fast and light refreshments at the end to break the fast. Seeing the fellowship of different leaders and congregations is itself a miracle, and a sign from the Lord.

Throughout the day different pastors and teachers speak and co-lead. Chaim directs the vision of combining traditional Jewish worship elements with the modern spontaneous Messianic elements. This brings a tremendous sense of awe, covenant, history, prophecy and the presence of the Lord. This event is organized by Shani and the Revive Israel staff.

We invite you to partner with us in the prophetic significance of this event. Fast with us; pray with us; celebrate the Holy Day. This is also a wonderful opportunity to partner with us financially. The budget to produce this event with operational costs and partial subsidies for food and lodging, is considerable. If you'd like to partner with us financially to sponsor this "appointed day of the Lord", your donations will be gratefully received through Revive Israel.

1 This year the Day of Atonement falls on October 4.
