Dear Faithful Friend,
Praise God!!! The Lord is faithful and heals those who call on His name in faith. Last week, I underwent an MRI and PET scan to check the current condition of my brain and throat after the months of treatment for cancer. HALLELUYAH! The tests confirmed that there is NO cancer in my body! Forever I am grateful to our God and Father who has healed me through the overwhelming power of the life of His son that lives within me. And forever we are grateful to all of you who have been praying and supporting us. Our God is mighty and may that same power be released in your body, soul and spirit as he answers your prayers of faith. Together we declare that the power of Yeshua that was loosed in His crucifixion and placed within us through the Holy Spirit HAS destroyed every work of the enemy, will set us free from fear and worry and transform every seeming defeat into a supernatural victory that will bring glory to His name.
We are rejoicing in this current victory but stay vigilant in the battle as I still need to have MRI's every three months and regular PET scans to monitor the situation. We thank you in advance for your continuing prayers for me.
Great things are happening here in Jerusalem and we want to keep you informed so that your prayers can be focused. The congregation that we fathered, "Ahavat Yeshua" is doing very well. Please keep praying for the young leaders as they take an increasing role in the daily oversight of the congregation. We recently set in Jonathan as our first young elder and there are several more who will be following in his footsteps shortly. It promises to be a year of transition as we move these young leaders into full responsibility.
The number of children in the congregation is exploding as new families have recently joined and the young couples who are already members keep having children. We are expecting 5 new babies by the end of the spring season!
Our current overseer of the children's program has left this position since she is expecting her third child any day. Please pray for Kammy who has agreed to take over this important job. She has been managing a daycare facility in Jerusalem for years and we are confident that her very strong gifting will be translated into great blessing for the many children that participate in our Shabbat school. She will also be more full time than her predecessor.
Please also pray for the right people to be put on staff in order to help cover our pastoral needs. These demands are already far beyond our ability to fulfill and we must increase our current minimal staff.
Our congregational secretary who had come on temporarily to replace someone else recently left the position and we are in need of more help in this area. On top of all this there is the ongoing need for discipleship, teaching, marriage counseling, more home meetings, women and men's meeting, organized and spontaneous evangelistic outreach to name just a few things!
The Lord promised that in the Last Days there would be Jews and Gentiles in Jerusalem from every nation to welcome him upon his return. We are excited to see that Body being formed today. Each week we have many Israelis along with people from different nations throughout the earth. We have a large number of Koreans who are members and come every week. Many others come from the nations of Europe, Africa, South America and of course there are always many from the USA. How amazing it is to see God's End Time plans being manifest in this day in Jerusalem.
All this is evidence of incredible blessing being poured out upon us. I have shared many of our needs today because all of these needs require funding beyond our current budget. God wants to establish an end time congregation in the heart of Jerusalem and in order to succeed, we really do need your help. As we approach the end of 2016, we are asking for an additional, special one time donation, designated for the congregation, so that we can move these funds into the congregational budget. So many people volunteer on a weekly basis but there are many other areas that are full or part time positions and require financial compensation.
Again, we are grateful for your willingness to give. Your donation will help us to move forward in this New Year. It's an exciting and awesome time we are living in and we know that God has great things in store for those who are serving him!
We send you our love from Zion,
