Zion's Glory Update
February 16 2015

The following is a Zion's Glory prayer update from Eddie and Jackie Santoro in Israel. We encourage you to forward it to whomever you think might be interested in the following information. It is sent out in conjunction with a monthly newsletter. Dear Faithful Friend,

It is finished! We have reached our goal and that just three months after we started our fund raising campaign to cover the cost of remodeling our new meeting hall in the heart of Jerusalem. We have been overwhelmed by your response and want to thank you for what has been an amazing outpouring of support. Although the new hall is still not completely finished, we started meeting in it last month. Down a flight of steps and adjoining the hall, the contractors are busy working on the children's area. The floors are in, the walls are going up and in a few months, five beautiful classrooms will serve the many youngsters in our congregation. When we called the children forward for prayer on Shabbat, there were over forty!

As expected, our new location in the heart of the city is drawing new people. We are seeing new faces and it is our prayer that more unsaved Israelis will come to our weekly meeting. Last week, an Israeli woman who was visiting for the first time responded to a prophetic word that was shared and came forward for prayer. She seemed to receive new revelation on the grace of God and was deeply touched as we prayed for her. Please join us in praying that "S" would return next week and that she would be a "first fruits" of many new Israelis.

Young Leaders

Please continue to pray for the young leaders who are taking responsibility for the many different functions that help make our congregation all that it is. They are the future in God's plans for Jerusalem in the coming days! Yoel oversees the youth group. Evan is responsible for the four worship teams. Jonathan heads up the young adults group. Jeremiah takes care of most of the administration of the congregation. Mati is responsible for giving and social functions. Rachel directs the children's department and Simcha is our secretary.

In reality, any list is sorely lacking as our congregation is primarily comprised of younger people. Please pray for God's grace to rest upon each of them. Many of them are parents of growing families (we have one newborn and six mothers that are currently expecting before September), some are single, all are involved in additional secular or ministry work, many are studying in university and one thing that is certain is that their time is at a premium. We deeply appreciate their willingness to serve and sacrificially give.

Travel

We just returned from a two week trip to the States. Our time was blessed with wonderful visits with old friends and an extended visit with family. Jackie's mother is almost 98 and spending time with her was one of our priorities for traveling at this time. We enjoyed a snow storm in New York, visited two congregations in the Tampa area and had a hard time getting home because of snow bound airports. (Now we remember why we don't travel in January.) We also had the opportunity to minister at a Baptist church where eighty church members were challenged by the vision that I shared of the destiny and interconnectedness of Israel and the Church.

Next month we will be returning to Italy for another week of ministry with the Messianic Jewish congregation that we visited last year. This group of believers is quite unique in Italy and we marvel at the depth of the relationship that was established during our first visit. We are excited at the prospect of returning and will be leading a Passover Seder, sharing at several meetings and investing time in their leadership team. Please stand with us in prayer as we prepare for this upcoming trip. God's prophetic promises are truly manifest as we go forth as a part of "saved Israel" to bless the nations.

Political

On March 17, Israel will again choose a new government. The election campaign is heated as the many political parties vie for as many votes as possible. It is hard to sort through the myriad of positions and arguments that each one puts forth, so please join us in praying simply that the God of Israel will set in His government over this nation that He so loves.

Satan is making his end time move and the dangers that surround Israel have never been greater. Whether it is Hezbollah from Lebanon, ISIS from Syria, Islamic Jihad from the Egyptian Sinai or Hamas from Gaza, the attacks are continuous. Beyond this immediate circle of enemies, there are the slightly more distant nations of Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq and every other Islamic nation in the world that is committed to the destruction of Israel. And added to all this is the wave of antisemitism that is sweeping the world with renewed fervor. The recent murder of four Jews in France and today's attack on a synagogue in Denmark are stark reminders that the anti-christ spirit of antisemitism is alive and on the increase.

Don't ever forget that the anti-Israel rhetoric and the lies that are so prevalent in this day are just a new mask on the ancient demon of antisemitism. The devil understands all too well that to destroy Israel is the most certain way to prevent the physical return of Jesus to this earth. Underlying all the politics concerning Israel and its enemies is the ever present truth that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of the evil in the heavenly realms."

Today we call on you who have been empowered by God in Yeshua the Messiah to "take your stand against the devil's schemes". It is for a time such as this that you have come into the Kingdom.

We thank you for standing with us.

We send you our love from Zion,
